COVID-19 UPDATE

June 1, 2020

First and foremost, I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well!

The fundamental goal of my practice has always been to help others. During the current pandemic, this has meant the prioritization of client safety and a commitment to social responsibility.

In keeping with the recommendations made by our government and the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO), the Voice Box Office suspended all in-person SLP sessions on March 17. In order to ensure that clients’ needs continued to be met, services were immediately shifted online.

On May 26, Directive #2 was amended to support the gradual restart of all deferred and non-essential and elective services carried out by Health Care Providers, including SLPs. For the safety of all, however, it was recommended that virtual sessions be continued whenever possible.

With this in mind, I have chosen to continue with telepractice for the time being.  As conditions continue to change, I will monitor the recommendations being made by the government and my college to determine when and how in-person sessions will be resumed.

If you have any questions about video sessions and working together to ensure they are the right fit for you, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility during this unprecedented time. I look forward to seeing you soon!
