Voice Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology Services
for Adults and Children
FEES
Private voice therapy/speech-language pathology services are not covered by OHIP, but many people have access to funding through their extended health benefits at work.
Benefits for speech-language pathology/speech therapy typically fall under the Medical Rehabilitation or Paramedical section of a benefit policy. Your policy should outline the maximum amount that can be claimed per year and/or per session. Please feel free to contact me to discuss the best way to use your benefits to maximize the amount of service that can be covered.
If your voice, speech or communication difficulties are a direct result of work demands or injury, funding through WSIB may be possible. I can help you complete the required paperwork.

Intervention for communication or cognitive-communication difficulties resulting from a motor vehicle accident may be covered by your motor vehicle insurance. Costs are based on the Financial Services Commission of Ontario's (FSCO) standard guidelines and rates and are billed directly to the insurer.
